Our shopper/ tote bags are all made from jute. Because each bag is handmade, it makes each one unique and not one bag is exactly the same. They are the perfect bag for essentials for your holidays, everyday routines, shopping and travelling.

They are a joyous stylish feature for your wardrobe or even as home decor.

Supporting Women in Rural Bangladesh

We work with talented handicraft women in rural Bangladesh. The women have the option to work at the community centre or at home to fit in with their family lives'. The women are paid directly. We're proud to support the education, healthcare and livelihoods of the craftspeople in Bangladesh who have become Louise"s "extended family".

Another benefit of jute is that it is very strong- our bags can carry between 10 kgs -14 kgs. Each bag contains 450m of jute. Our jute bags are handmade and no machinery is used at all throughout the process, except for the dying. Only Azo free dyes are used.

Our bags are 100% jute, which is a strong plant grown locally in Bangladesh. The nature of this material means that the bags can withstand intense use and the test of time. And after a long and happy life, they can biodegrade on the compost.

The brand's founder, Louise Jackson, started this project with 100 women and now supports 1,500 artisans year-round, with an additional 4,000 benefiting from related work like jute cord production and embroidery.
